Good inspiration, as always. I like it that you draw on so many sources! Human wisdom has existed through the ages in various cultural and religious norms, and virtually all caution against greed, lust for power or recognition, help to those who need it, and disciplining dysfunctional or destructive impulses.
We have gotten so mechanical in our habit and ways of thinking, and so alienated form one another, through mechanized intervention or obsession, we all too often forget what has enabled us to survive so far is being kind and useful to one another, which ultimately nurtures the soul more than acquisition or pride.
I'm older than you, kiddo! But thanks for that. I'm sure my essays would never be as clever and metaphorically written as yours, but I have a gazillion poems in which I try to be as observant and truthful as possible, and especially of these dark times and the travesty of our great empire destroying itself from within, as tends to be the way with great empires: hubris que no?

You write the wisdom of an elder

My mexican friends who know they have Aztec/Mayan ancestors are fascinated about the Olmec .
Aztec wisdom had me in its thrall at ‘hungover and bloated.’
Mahalo nui loa. Aloha.
