I am a fixator! Guilty as charged! And contemplating yet another career change, because of AI, and climate change... researching this... I am a software developer/engineer by trade... and could loose my job to AI... because the industry is hell bent on getting rid of us... :D well I don't know about that... but a portion of us will lose our jobs. Secondly climate change...trying to find a career field that is doing the most good in mitigating or solving the climate change problem... I would be happier if I contributed to the betterment of humanity. Also, population reduction I feel is needed if we want the majority of mankind to benefit from the technology we have created. Part of the problem is we cannot seem to face the fact that we need some sort of population reduction or colonization of other planets/ or environments outside of the earth (I have yet to see any serious efforts on both fronts...at least the mainstream media doesn't talk about this) ... is this really impossible? Can we reduce the population and not destroy the world economy? Is that possible? Further study is needed on my part, I hope I can find trustworthy sources... hard to tell these days because there is soooo much information out there (and some ... shocker... is b.s.). Just have to do the best I can. And all I can do now is vote and hope for the best...and not fixate on it until I get an ulcer. :)
People love to fixate on this. AI, climate change, pandemic, ohhh yeah... and one we don't really talk about anymore over population.
