Thanks for taking the time to write this. I do hope Claudine and Ross, and everyone else can find the care they need. The US might be the richest country financially but the US is morally bankrupt.
Thank you, Bret. The scale of the injustice in our 'system' is staggering. Living past 70 is a cross between a suicide note and a homeless person's cardboard sign. It's sickening...er...excuse the use of the word.
It is a lie, when I give this article a like. I don’t like it at all. I hate it (not the article but it’s truth). I am every negative emotion there is for the truth of Bret’s family’s situation, how common it is and the obscene politics of it. This is not necessary in the United States (amerika). It is another product of greed, selfishness, hate, intolerance, thirst for power, and ultimately the failure of the once great experiment of a democratic country. And yes I write this with more than a tear in my eye.
Bret, as a 70 yr old living on social security with my share of health issues, I cannot find the words. I am so very sorry for your brother and his wife. It IS deeply personal, and we all have experienced it with friends and family. All I can do is donate, and that's only because I finally cracked open my dwindling 401K and made my first withdrawal since retiring two years ago. So many of us are "living on a prayer." I have no solutions to offer. We are all anxiously awaiting the inevitable implosion of amerikkka. To say "God bless" feels ridiculous and futile.
Yes Linda, Amerikkka, spelling from Eldridge Cleaver and the Black Panthers, has only become more truth. If I hadn’t gotten sick, gone broke and declared bankruptcy when I could pay no more bills I would be living where Bret is now.
Powerful, sad. Imagine what the money we're spending for the Dome could go to help families like yours in times of dire need.

Well said, Joel.

It’s pathetic what’s happening right now. So many people are suffering. There’s no strong positive force that looks to produce a change anytime soon.

Greatly appreciate your support and kind words.

So sorry to read what you’re witnessing in your own family. Heartbreaking how this is…wish I could do more but happy to kick in a little bit…
Thanks for helping!
