Excellent article. The recent testimony before the US Congress interested me. The whistleblowers seemed credible. As do the accounts of many civilian and military pilots.

When it comes to governments revealing the truth, I am skeptical. The US government has and does lie repeatedly. If there was proof, I believe they would never reveal it to the American people.

Appreciate your kind words, Richard. Eddy Louis was a great organist. Happy you dig him!

Please stay tuned.

I have a question for you, and would like your opinion. Do you think we are being visited by visitors from other planets?

Dear Bret, I know it is a long shot write you like this, but worth a try. My name is Tulio Lugo and I am a "chilango" working at the UNAM in Mexico City as Assistant Editor. I just want to let you know I deeply admire your effort to preserve and disseminate the valuable legacy of jazz music. It is an honor to me that you have chosen Mexico (the "BAD HOMBRES" land according to Mr. Trump's opinion)as your country of residence (by the way, you surely know that Alfred Lion - the Blue Note Records founder- spent his last years living there, in Guanajuato...). Thanks very much for your titanic work. Best regards and be safe.

Blue Note Records founder Alfred Lion lived in Guanajuato. Damn! Mexico is a fascinating country and I really feel at home here. Appreciate your kind words, Tulio. Hope to see you in CDMX one day.

Hi Brett,

Really enjoyed reading that. Not many many good ones on the internet but you are definitely one of the good ones.

And... Thanks for that Eddy Louis recommendation. I've never heard him before and he sounds great.

All the best,

Richard

Dear Bret, concerning your query, I can tell you that from a strict scientific standpoint the answer is definitely NO. No single effect, experiment or reliable paper provides definitive evidence on visitors from other planets. If you are interested in this controversial topic I strongly recommend you to read this recent, brief, accesible and reasonable article on the subject: https://aeon.co/essays/alien-life-might-not-be-something-science-can-ever-discover. I want to take this chance to correct a mistake (shame on me!!!): this is the right link which I referred to in my previous post: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fd-37QTDxZA. There you can notice a stunned Aretha Franklin recording with a little microphone the Jack Dupree and King Curtis gig. In my humble opinion this video is literally a GEM. You can be assured that you won't regret watching this. Best regards and be safe. Tulio

Dear Bret, sorry for wasting your time. I'm wondering if you know this undisputed video-masterpiece: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XUVLcFhQm90. I keep as a treasure my worn-out vinyl of this fantastic record ("Take the time, take the time!"...). Did you notice in the video a stunned Aretha Franklin recording with a little microphone the gig? The slow groove that the band maintains is superb with some great work from King Curtis with his alto gargling at times during his solo and the beautiful blues bounce from

Jack's piano on this classic number. This exciting video deserves to be celebrated this morning thinking on your impeccable musical judgment and taste with a straight Tequila shot (in honor of Jack Dupree, a heavy drinker)...

So, Cheers!,

Best regards and be safe

Greetings from Mexico City

Tulio

Dear Bret,

Thinking about the relationship of Jazz Titans (your case) and Mexico, did you know that Dexter Gordon used to love Cuernavaca and that he loved Mexican food? https://www.dextergordon.org/blog/2016/1/11/ben-and-dex-2
