Well, Bret, cheers on this post. It's always good to know there's another practitioner out here. Yes, this is the desire realm and no one knows that better than me. I have been chasing this or that for ages, but I am gradually slowing down. Daily practice helps, teachings help, like today's post. Appreciate the surprise.

Reminds me of a story with Gary Bartz, who's a good friend of mine. We were dicussing practicing, how Sonny and Michael Brecker practiced all the time. I said Gary, you're Master musician, why you do have practice so much.? He laughed and told me, "I actually need another lifetime to learn this music."

Boy, did I ever need to see these words today. Proof positive that just when you need something it is delivered by the Universe. It is as if you read my mind. Thank you so much- for holding up the mirror.

Beautifully stated. I have been learning about Buddhism for about nine months now and this eloquently states what my novice knowledge is seeing as well.

Tom

Maybe It’s me. I feel the practice, the preparing, the being.
